- Patients undergoing thoracic surgery that require the placement of left-sided double-lumen tubes

Exclusion Criteria
- Abnormal anatomy of tracheobronchial tree
- Intraluminal lesion in the left or right mainstem bronchus
- Anticipated difficult intubation
