Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •All children (1 month to 18 years) receiving mechanical ventilation longer than 48 hours and ready for scheduled extubation according to the tolerance of the daily weaning readiness trial with at least one of the high risk criteria of extubation failure,
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients with do \- not \- resuscitate orders
- •2\. Tracheostomized patients
- •3\. Accidentally extubated or self extubated
