Inclusion Criteria
1.Patients with mild to moderate chronic periodontitis(infectious disease resulting in inflammation with in supporting tissues of the teeth, progressive attachment loss and bone loss) with probing pocket depth of 4-6 mm
2.Patients willing to participate in the study and maintain regular appointments
Exclusion Criteria
1.History of systemic diseases .
2.All forms of tobacco users.
3.History of periodontal therapy 6 months prior to the study.
4.Immuno-compromised patients.
5.Pregnant or lactating females
