Patients (>70 years) admitted to the hospital with hip fracture who are eligible for surgery.
Exclusion Criteria
-A fracture distal from subtrochanteric fracture
-Pathological fracture

Name Time Method -Baseline characteristics (gender, medication, medical history, social status, type of peration and anesthesia technique.<br /><br>-Muscular strength measured by Hand grip dynamometry<br>Occurrence of delirium<br /><br>-MMSE: Mini-Metal State Evaluation<br /><br>-ISAR-HP: Identification of Seniors at Risk-Hospitalized Patients<br /><br>-Time to successful rehabilitation. Successful rehabilitation is defined as having the same functional status compared to the prefracture status. Functional status is evaluated using the Barthel index questionnaire. <br>
