简要总结

Chronic suppurative otitis media CSOM is a prevalent condition characterized by persistent inflammation of the middle ear and mastoid cavity, often resulting in tympanic membrane perforation and conductive hearing loss. Tympanoplasty, a surgical procedure aimed at reconstructing the tympanic membrane and restoring hearing, remains a cornerstone in the management of CSOM. In some cases, cortical mastoidectomy is performed in conjunction with tympanoplasty to eradicate infection and ensure a dry ear

This study aims to compare the anatomical and functional outcomes of tympanoplasty performed with and without cortical mastoidectomy. Specifically, it will evaluate graft uptake success and hearing improvement postoperatively
