Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • ASA grade 1 \& 2 patients
  • weighing 40 to 80 kilograms
  • Scheduled for either elective lower limb or lower abdominal surgical procedures, which were anticipated to complete within 2 hours, were included.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Patients with history of allergic reaction to the study drugs
  • 2\.those with significant cardiac , pulmonary, hepatic or renal dysfunction
  • 3\.Patients with history of psychiatric illness
  • 4\.Obese patients (BMI \> 30 kg/m2\)
  • 5\.Hypertensive patients
  • 6\.Patients with head injury
  • 7\.Those with history of chronic use of sedative drugs, full stomach patients, pregnant patients and epileptic patients were excluded from the study.
