Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Elderly participants who meet the criteria for major depressive disorder (MDD) according to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, Fourth Edition (DSM\-IV),
- •\-able to communicate and complete a self\-reported questionnaire.
Exclusion Criteria
- •\-the presence of intense suicidal intent behaviors that require inpatient admission,
- •\-a history of alcohol or drug dependence,
- •\-the presence of hallucinations or delusions,
- •\-currently receiving electro\-convulsive therapy or rTMS,
- •\-patients’ involvement in other clinical trials.
