1. Age >= 18 years old
2. Diagnosis of refractory shock
3. Receive high-dose vasopressors
- norepinephrine ≥ 0.5 mcg/kg/min or
- cumulative dose of norepinephrine and epinephrine ≥0.5 mcg/kg/min
- norepinephrine > 0.1 mcg/kg/min and dopamine > 10 msg/kg/min
4. radial artery catheter insertion
1.age under 18 years old
2. contraindication to femoral arterial catheter
3. on intra-aortic balloon balloon pump (IABP)
4. severe peripheral vascular disease or critical limb ischemia
5. catheter malfunction: overdamping or underdamping
