Inclusion Criteria
BMI >35 kg/m2
Age 18-65 years old
ability to talk to and understand the study staff
Exclusion Criteria
Diseases of the psychotic range
Addiction to psychotropic substances (except nicotine)
Lack of ability to communicate adequately with the examiner/study staff

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method 1. Analysis of the multifactorial data set from the EOSS and the (sub) constructs based on RDoC using hierarchical cluster analysis. The aim is to identify structures in the data, i.e. of groups of variables that are related and whose combination into a cluster makes sense in terms of content.<br>2. Analysis of the relationships between the clusters found in 1. and a) the categorical (comorbid) psychopathology according to ICD-10 / DSM-5 and b) the stage classification according to EOSS<br>3. Analysis of the differences between the clusters found in 1. with regard to preoperative BMI, quality of life, self-harming behavior and suicidality.<br><br>Longitudinal examination (three years)<br>Longitudinal study (three years).<br>Changes in EOSS stage as a combined endpoint from the different EOSS axes.
