Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •All children presenting with status epilepticus with duration \> 5 minutes.
  • •Failure of first and second line antiepileptics
  • •age group 2 to 14 years

Exclusion Criteria

  • •All children with diagnosed muscular dystrophies on clinical examination.
  • •severe hypotension(according to age )
  • •severe atrial or ventricular block(on ecg)
  • •metabolic diseases (hypoglycemia, hypocalcemia, hypomagnesemia, hyponatremia, hypenatremia, uremicencephalophaty, hepaticencephlopathy).
  • •History of use of anticonvulsants before presenting to hospital.
  • •Renal or Hepatic diseases on medical records and relevant investigations.
