Aged 65 years or over

- Living independently in one of the five selected municipalities

Exclusion Criteria

-Having an allergy for or being sensitive to milk proteins

-Being lactose intolerant

Primary Outcome Measures

The primary outcome of this study is the change in physical functioning (Short Physical Performance Battery score).
Secondary Outcome Measures

Secondary parameters are measured at 12, 24 and 26 weeks: Quality of life (EQ-5D-5L), physical functioning (Timed Up-and-Go, 6 minute walking test), leg muscle strength (3-RM and dynamometer), body composition (DEXA), protein intake (3-day food diaries), social participation, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and behavioural determinants. Besides, healthcare and patient costs and indicators related to process evaluation (acceptability, applicability, integrity, reach/dose) are secondary outcomes.
