Inclusion Criteria

Patients with myocardial infarction; both genders; age over 18 years; using cardioprotective drugs; social referent responsible for organizing and taking pills

Exclusion Criteria

Patients without conditions for effective oral verbal communication; diagnosed with mental disorders; social referent who cannot be present in the interviews

Increased medication adherence to cardioprotectors among patients with a history of myocardial infarction, verified by means of a paired Wilcoxon test, based on the finding of increased medication adherence measures after intervention

Improvement of serum cholesterol level, blood pressure and peripheral pulse rate, verified by means of a paired Wilcoxon test, based on the finding of a reduction of at least 5% in the post-intervention measurements;The intervention is feasible, verified by the rate of patient participation, based on the observation that 70% of eligible patients participated in all stages of the study;The intervention is easy to apply, verified by the debriefing method with patients, based on the observation that all participants adhered to the intervention
