palpitations (abnormal awareness of heartbeat) as one of the main presenting complaint; history of palpitation for at least three months; age between 18 and 60 years; informed consent. Exclusion criteria: mental retardation; psychosis and other serious psychological diseases confirmed by a psychologist; organic heart diseases confirmed by a cardiologist; serious chronic diseases; pregnancy; lactation; consumption of beta-blockers; consumption of antidepressants and anxiolytics and sedatives 10 days before the start of the study; declination of participation; irregular use of prescribed drugs; unpredicted side effects.

Name Time Method Frequency of palpitations' episodes. Timepoint: Before and after intervention.
