1. Age 18 years of age - 60 years of age
2. Irrespective of caste, religion , sex mild to moderate cases of ulcerative colitis (mayo’s score 3-10 and true and witts criteria)
3.previous diagnosed case of ulcerative colitis.
1.patient above 60 years and below 18 years of age
2.Toxic mega colon/ Fulminant type of disease
3.Severe type of Ulcerative colitis (Mayo score 11-12)
4.Known active infection (TB, HIV, C. Dificile, CMV)
5.Gastro intestinal perforation
6.Infective colitis, ischemic colitis, solitary ulcer syndrome, irradiation colitis
7.Lactose intolerance.
8.Pregnant females
9.known malignancy

Name Time Method Disease specific subjective parameters on true love’s and witts score . <br/ ><br>Colonoscopic tissue biopsy for diagnosis of ulcerative colitis <br/ ><br>Colonoscopic Mayo’s scoring for disease activityTimepoint: oral medications for period of 12 weeks followed by follow up every 4 weeks once for period of 12 weeks
