Inclusion Criteria
All patients with clinically diagnosed acute pancreatitis
Age 18- 90 years
Both genders
Ready to give written informed consent
Exclusion Criteria
previous pancreatic surgery( self reported)
pancreatitis due to endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) or trauma
pancreatic cancer ( self reported)
use of hypolipidemic drugs
hepatitis ( clinically visible jaundice)
liver cirrhosis (based on USG)
