•1. Subjects aged 40 - 60 years irrespective of gender, marital and socioeconomic
•2. Subjects having signs and symptoms of Asthikshaya.
•3. Subjects with BMD t-score <-1.0
•4. Subjects of serum calcium level < 2.2 mmol/L (< 8.8 mg/dL)
•5. Subjects willing and able to participate for 12 weeks.

•1. Subjects with a history of fragility fracture and long bone fracture in the last 6
•2. Subjects under prolonged immobilization for = 6 weeks.
•3. Subjects receiving any drug which is known to affect bone metabolism;
•Bisphosphonates, Calcitonin, Vitamin-D and corticosteroids for more than 3
•4. Subjects suffering with any structural deformities, severe renal and hepatic
•diseases, tuberculosis.
•5. Subjects known to be suffering with hypo/hyper-parathyroidism, hypo/hyper-
•thyroidism.
•6. Subjects with any metabolic bone diseases like, osteomalacia, marble bone
•disease, osteogenesis imperfecta, Paget’s disease.
•7. Uncontrolled diabetes mellitus (HbA1c>10%).
