Recent reports of the prevalence and incidence of gout vary widely according to the population studied and
methods employed but range from a prevalence of <1% to 6.8% and an incidence of 0.58-2.89 per 1,000
person-years. Gout is more prevalent in men than in women, with increasing age 7,
According to above data, it becomes a great concern how to deal with Gout and treat properly. Modern science
is using quick acting NSAIDS & uricosuric drugs to treat which have control over joint pain but have potential
adverse effects also.
Hence, an attempt has been made on the management on Vatarakta (Gout) with ayurvedic medicine in the
form of Aahar Vihar & Guduchi churna.

- •Patients having signs & symptoms of vatarakta (Gout).
- •Patients having their age more than 18 years.
- •Patients having Serum uric acid conc.
- •more than 7.0mg/dl in male and more than 6.0 mg/dl in female.
排除标准
- •Patients having complications of vatarakta (upadrava) like, moorchha, hikka etc.
- •Patients having secreting tophus.
- •Patients associated with HIV, Hepatitis and also pregnant women.
