Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Established gingivitis cases having a mean plaque index of 1\.5 as per Turesky Gilmor Glickman modification of Quigley Hein Plaque inex and a mean gingival index of 1 as per Loe and silness index.
  • •Minimum of 20 teeth excluding third molars.
  • •Available for the 3 week study period.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Established Periodontitis subjects.
  • •Subjects with systemic disease that influences the periodontium.
  • •Subjects with history of partial dentures orthodontic bands.
  • •History of allergy to chlorhexidine.
  • •Subjects having used mouth wash or antibiotics in the last 3 months.
  • •Smokers tobacco chewers and pregnant women.
