- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To find a correlation between Non-invasive [near

infrared spectrometry (NIRS) values & optic nerve

sheath diameter (ONSD) values] and Invasive

(intracranial ICP catheter values) techniques of ICP

measurements in adult patients with traumatic brain

injury.Timepoint: To find a correlation between Non-invasive [near

infrared spectrometry (NIRS) values & optic nerve

sheath diameter (ONSD) values] and Invasive

(intracranial ICP catheter values) techniques of ICP

measurements in adult patients with traumatic brain

injury.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method 1 To compare the two non-invasive techniques of ICP

measurement (ONSD & NIRS) in predicting raised

ICP (>22 mmHg) in adults with traumatic brain injury.

2 To establish the cut-off value for ONSD & NIRS

measurements in predicting raised ICP (>22 mmHg) in

adults with traumatic brain injury.Timepoint: Three clusters of measurements would be taken each day (T1, T2, T3), at least 3 hours apart from each other for 48 hours after ICP insertion.

Three individual measurements of the optic nerve diameter will be obtained on each eye (rt & left), at each time point & the average of the three values will be recorded for the individual

eye. Each blinded ONSD measurement will be paired with simultaneous measurement of NIRS

readings (on right and left side) and invasive ICP readings.
