Optimization of adenosine stress in myocardial perfusion imaging
Phase 4

- Brief Summary
Although submaximal hyperemia during caffeine ingestion may be overcome by increasing the dose of adenosine, HR increase of >10 bpm/min is not a reliable criterion to determine the subjects who should receive increased doses of adenosine. Since myocardial T1 correlates well with MBF with or without caffeine intake, it could be a good indicator of stress adequacy.
