1. Patients > 50 years diagnosed with MCI as per NIAAA criteria
2. Right-handed individuals.
3. CDR â?? global score 0.5.
4. Patients meeting inclusion criteria recruited from geriatric psychiatry services, NIMHANS or community outreach activities.
5. Ability to give informed consent ascertained by a standardised assessment tool(Jeste et al., 2007)
6. Patients with chronic medical conditions that are stable
1. Patients diagnosed with dementia.
2. Presence of other axis I mental illness
3. Patients diagnosed with reversible causes of MCI like hypothyroidism, Nutritional deficiencies, Subdural hematoma, chronic infections or NPH
4. H/o CVA, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy or Parkinsonian syndromes
5. Patients currently on antihistamines, anticholinergic drugs, sedatives or other such medications which interfere with cognitive functioning
6. Patients with substance use (not amounting to disorder) are not excluded but the data regarding the quantity of use will be collected
