Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •i) Either gender, \>\= 18 years old, attending emergency medicine Department at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, Karnataka
- •ii) Acute febrile illness for more than 5\-15 days, Fever will be defined as more than 37\.5°C tympanic or oral temperature at presentation or within the last 5 days of presentation.
- •iii) Written informed consent
Exclusion Criteria
- •i.Those patients who have an established microbiological diagnosis or localized source of infection at presentation
