Inclusion Criteria
Patients aged over 18 years indicated for myringotomy procedures
Exclusion Criteria
history of allergy to lidocaine , severe liver or kidney disease, arterioventricular or intraventricular heart block, Strokes-Adam syndrome, Wolff-Parkinson-white syndrome, pregnancy, infections or inflammation of ear canal or pinna, conditions causing pain around the ear or any other areas
