•American society of anaesthesiologists (ASA) grade 1, 2
•Undergoing elective surgery under general anaesthesia
•Duration of surgery greater than 60minutes and lesser than or equal to 3 hours
•Presenting body temperature(oral) equal to or greater than 38â?°C or below 36â?°C on arrival at preoperative hold
•Emergency and trauma patients
•Laparoscopic/robotic surgeries
•Recent history fever or infection
•Previous history of malignant hyperthermia
•Hypo/hyperthyroid status
•History of nasal surgery, nasal trauma and recurrent epistaxis
