age 18-70
primary diagnosis of OCD (ICD-10 F42.-)
at least 20 sessions of CBT with ERP within 3 years prior to study
inclusion
clinically relevant OCD, i.e. Y-BOCS global score > 12 at study
inclusion
fulfilled DSM-IV criteria for OCD for a period of = three years prior to
study inclusion, either without an aymptomatic period or an
asymptomatic period of < 6 months
begun or altered medication within 12 weeks before study inclusion
receiving benzodiazepines
mania (ICD-10 F30.-)
suicidal tendency
current severe depressive episode (BDI>28)
borderline disorder (ICD-10 F60.3)
current substance abuse or substance dependence (ICD-10 F1x.2)
intelligence quotient < 70
psychosis (ICD-10 F20-F29)
severe neurological disorder
indication of Asperger syndrome (ICD-10 F84.5)

Name Time Method the severity of obsessive compulsive symptoms as measured by the Yale Brown Obsessive Compulsive Scale, an established and very commonly used semi-structured interview. Assesment time points are pre, post and 6- and 12-months-follow-ups
