Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients of ASA physical status III and IV with BMI \>\= 30 kg/m2 scheduled to undergo elective cardiac surgery with fast track extubation will be included in this trial.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\)Heart failure
- •2\)Vasopressor support
- •3\)Severe Pulmonary Hypertension
- •4\)Preoperative atelectasis
- •5\)Preoperative pulmonary disease including \- tuberculosis, pleural effusion, restrictive lung disease, COPD , Asthma
- •6\)Contraindication to HFNO including blocked nasal passage / choanal atresia , Trauma / surgery to nasopharynx
- •7\)Negative consent/refusal
