Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients of ASA physical status III and IV with BMI >= 30 kg/m2 scheduled to undergo elective cardiac surgery with fast track extubation will be included in this trial.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1)Heart failure
- •2)Vasopressor support
- •3)Severe Pulmonary Hypertension
- •4)Preoperative atelectasis
- •5)Preoperative pulmonary disease including - tuberculosis, pleural effusion, restrictive lung disease, COPD , Asthma
- •6)Contraindication to HFNO including blocked nasal passage / choanal atresia , Trauma / surgery to nasopharynx
- •7)Negative consent/refusal
