- •Patients presenting to the emergency department with fever
- •Inclusion Criteria
- •1. Age group >=18 years
- •2. Fever >99.50F
- •3. Fever with a duration less than 7 days
排除标准
- •1, Patients who are not willing to provide written informed consent
- •2. Fever with localizing symptoms to specific cause
- •3. Patients with malignancy, immunosuppression or autoimmune disorderr
- •Localizing symptoms: 1. Respiratory - cough, shortness of breath, crepitations on auscultation 2. Throat â?? tonsillitis, ear discharge 3. Musculoskeletal â?? abscess, cellulitis, single joint pain. 4. Gastrointestinal â?? abdominal pain with localized source appendicitis, cholecystitis 5. Genito urinary â?? burning micturition, renal angle tenderness, vaginal discharge, haematuria. 6. CNS â?? seizure, neck stiffness
