Inclusion Criteria

Patients with maxillary transverse deficiency; unilateral or bilateral posterior crossbite; aged 11 to 14 years; male and female; patients should have no cleft lip; patients must be in the permanent denture phase.

Exclusion Criteria

History of previous orthodontic treatment; presence of systemic diseases; presence of congenital deformity; loss of permanent teeth or agenesis.
