How jump and weight training together improves performance
Completed
- Conditions
- Healthy university students who have history of resistance training at least for 3 times per week for 2 months continuously in the past 6 months
- Registration Number
- CTRI/2019/12/022462
- Lead Sponsor
- Department of Exercise and Sports Science
- Brief Summary
The aim of the study is to investigate the influence of combined plyometric and resistance training of lower limbs on:
– the stiffness of Achilles and patellar tendon
– Jump height
Hypothesis - combined plyometric and resistance will improve both tendon stiffness and jump height
Results- There was a significant improvement in both tendon stiffness of Achilles and patellar tendon and as well as jump height in all the participants.
