Have good general health.
At least one tooth with stage1 periodontitis(initial periodontitis) and stage2 periodontitis(moderate periodontitis) that is with a probing depth of =6mm.
This tooth is associated with bleeding on probing(BOP) or gingivitis.
Tooth with other symptoms such as mobility, furcation lesions, defect of ridge , and bone destruction or probe depth that leads to the difficulty and complexity of the treatment.
Smokers
Pregnant women
Females on hormone therapy
Those who had received systemic or topical antibiotics and/or anti-inflammatory drugs
Those who received surgical or non-surgical periodontal treatment within the past 12 months prior to the enrollment
