1) Patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus coming to ophthalmology OPD.
1. Age less than 18 years.
2. Patients not willing for the study
3. Ocular infections or ocular diseases like ARMD (age related macular degeneration), Venous occlusion or retinal detachment (cause other than DR)
4. Active Urinary tract infection (based on history and symptoms)
5. Glomerulonephritis due to systemic conditions
6. Malignancies or collagen vascular disorders
7. Pregnancy
8. Any other systemic condition causing proteinuria
