Inclusion Criteria
Aged 18 to 80 years Adult patients who underwent emergency exploratory laparotomy under general anaesthesia for suspected perforation of viscus.
Exclusion Criteria
ï?·Patients who were posted for repeat exploratory laparotomy after repair of perforation peritonitis
ï?·Patient with significant immunosuppression (Diagnosed as positive for Human immunodeficiency Virus infection, those on immunosuppressive medications such as long-term steroids, chemotherapeutic drugs)
