Overview
Brief Summary
To evaluate the impact of backward treadmill walking training on balance and walking ability of people dealing with chronic stroke.
To evaluate the impact of lateral treadmill walking training on balance and walking ability of individuals coping with chronic stroke.
To compare how backward and lateral treadmill walking training influence balance and walking ability among those with chronic stroke.

Eligibility Criteria
- Ages
- 40.00 Year(s) to 70.00 Year(s) (—)
- Sex
- All
Inclusion Criteria
- •Onset of stroke at least 6 months prior to enrolment in the study.
- •Belonging to any gender from age 40 to 70 years.
- •Ability to walk at least 10 m with or without ankle-foot orthosis.
- •Brunnstrom’s lower limb recovery stage ≥
- •Those who understood verbal instructions and had a Mini-Mental State Exam score ≥ 24 were included.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Cognitive, Perceptual or Visual impairment.
- •Any orthopaedic condition involving lower limb.
- •Any neurological problem with movement disorder.
- •Another uncontrolled health condition for which exercise is contraindicated (uncontrolled hypertension or heart disease that necessitates a pacemaker, coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, rheumatic heart disease, heart failure or angina).
