Inclusion Criteria

(i) Patients who are willing to participate in the study

(ii) Patients with Fitzpatrick’s skin types III-VI

(iii) Age group between 18- 40 years

(iv) Bilateral striae distensae

Patients who are willing to undergo the evaluation system and able to comply with all follow-up requirements.

Exclusion Criteria

(i) Patients who are not willing to participate in the study.

(ii) Patients below 18 years and above 40 years.

(iii) Pregnant and lactating women.

(iv) Patients with history of active infections like Herpes, type I or II.

(v) Dysplastic nevi

(vi) Patients with history of photosensitive disorders like lupus erythematosus dermatomyositis.

(vii) Chronic or cutaneous viral, fungal, or bacterial diseases

(viii) Patients with history of propensity for keloid formation and vitiligo.

(ix) Active cold sores, open lacerations or abrasions

(x) Patients with implants, like dermal implants, pacemaker or cochlear implants.

(xi) History or concurrent condition of skin cancer or pre-cancerous lesions

(xii) Exposure to sun in the 4-6 weeks pre-op, or artificial tanning in the past 2-3 weeks pre op, remaining suntan, sunburn or artificially tanned skin

(xiii) Tattoos

(xiv) Patients who have received treatment for laser skin resurfacing in the past 6-12 months on the striae.

(xv) Patients with unrealistic expectations, or not willing to give written informed consent.
