- •1.Pregnant women registered at 34 weeks to 36 weeks of pregnancy and till 6 weeks after delivery
- •2.Singletons
- •3.Ethnicity South India
- •4.Full-term deliveries from day 1 to day 15 and till 1 year

- •Study Exclusion criteria
- •1.Mothers with thyroid disorders
- •2.Drugs for cardiac diseases/Iodine ointments
- •3.Preterm deliveries
- •4.Congenital anomalies
- •5.Ethnicity other than South India
- •6.Multiple gestations
