Study Overview
Brief Summary
Chronic Urticaria is a mast cell-driven disease that is defined as the occurrence of wheals/hives or both twice in a week for more than 6 weeks due to known or unknown causes. It appears as raised erythematous skin lesions that are pruritic, evascent and worsened up by scratching.
It affects 15-20% of the population once or more during a lifetime. In around 30% patients of urticaria, attacks often recur for months or years.
As Urticaria comes under hypersensitive reaction of the skin, there is recurrence of symptoms within individuals. Here we have to assess recurrence of symptoms through its intensity and frequency. We can check it through the Urticaria Control Test scale.
The Urticaria Control Test is a questionnaire designed to determine if chronic urticaria is controlled or not and to aid therapeutic decision-making. Homoeopathy is useful in the treatment of Chronic Urticaria and hence I want to take this topic for study to understand the improvement in Chronic Urticaria on the Urticaria Control Test scale through Synthesis Repertory. In the end we will understand the usefulness of Synthesis Repertory in Chronic Urticaria.
