Inclusion Criteria
Patient undergoing both elective and emergency surgeries where atleast one arterial blood sample has been taken for blood gas analysis
Exclusion Criteria
Known chronic renal disease
Known renal tubular acidosis
Known sepsis
COPD
Patient of Traumatic Brain injury
Hyperventilation syndrome
¬Known chronic liver disease
¬Polytrauma with proven myoglobinuria
¬Pregnant female
¬Cardiac surgical procedure
