Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Treatment in one of the surgical intensive care units during the study period (01\.01\.2013 \- 29\.02\.2024\).
- •Presence of psychiatric illness prior to ICU treatment. Psychiatric disorders are defined as those listed in Chapter V Mental and Behavioral Disorders (F00\-F99\).
Exclusion Criteria
- •Psychiatric disorder acquired during intensive care treatment (postoperative delirium, treatment\-related stress disorder).
- •Diagnosis: F17\.2 \- Mental and Behavioral Disorder Caused by Tobacco (Tobacco dependence as the sole diagnosis is not considered a separate psychiatric disorder).
