Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Adult patients (age: 18\-25 years) requiring orthodontic treatment with extraction of both maxillary first premolars (i.e. Class I bimaxillary dentoalveolar protrusion or Class II division 1 malocclusion).
- •2\. Adequate inter\-radicular distance for between the maxillary first permanent molar and second premolar for the insertion of mini\-screws.
- •3\. Good gingival and periodontal health.
- •4\. Permanent dentition in both maxilla and mandible with or without the third molars.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Long term use of antibiotics, phenytoin, cyclosporine, anti\-inflammatory drugs and calcium channel blockers
- •2\.Poor oral hygiene for more than two visits
- •3\.Systemic disease
- •5\. Pregnancy
- •6\. Syndromic patients
- •7\. Craniofacial deformities.
- •8\. Previous history of orthodontic treatment.
