Inclusion Criteria

Patients in the postoperative phase after procedures under local or regional anesthesia or procedures near the spinal cord.

Exclusion Criteria

Age of patients <18 years, BMI> 40 kg / m2, GCS <15, abdominal surgery, status after gastric / esophageal surgery, non-adult patient, pregnancy

Increase in volume of the stomach content present in the ultrasound antral cross-section in the first minute after establishing an axially aligned right lateral position (lock roll position) after drinking 200 ml of clear water.

Verification of the presumably empty stomach (CSA <4 cm2) by assessing the stomach volume in the sonographic antral cross-section in the first minute after establishing an axially aligned right lateral position (lock roll position) before drinking the test liquid.<br>b.) Comparison of the CSA of the stomach antrum in 45 degrees upper body elevation (one time) and flat supine position (one time) with the measurements described under primary endpoint and secondary endpoint a.
