Subjects were between the ages of 30 and 60 years old. They were diagnosed with unilateral breast cancer and were scheduled to undergo surgery at our institution.
The exclusion criteria were as follow: patients who were previously diagnosed and treated for breast cancer, who were diagnosed as bilateral breast cancer, a terminal patient, unilateral or bilateral upper extremity disease with pain or limitation of motion or edema due to other reasons, a secondary arthritis of the shoulder due to surgery including shoulder joint, major trauma, or hemiparesis (due to stroke), Patients with systemic disease associated with the development of shoulder disease such as diabetic or thyroid disease, and patients who can not cooperate.
