- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method In the group initially treated with homeopathy, we expect to find a 30% improvement of reported pain at week 12 (in relation to basal values), assessed through Visual Analog Scale for pain.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Compared to basal values, we expect to observe improvement in pain and mobility in all included patients at weeks 12 and 28. We also expect that that improvement will be significantly superior during homeopathy treatment periods, compared with placebo. Endpoints will be assessed by the following measures: Visual Analog Scale for pain; WOMAC (Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index); 40 meters fast paced walk test; Timed up and go test; 30 seconds chair-stand Test; analgesics load. Adverse Events will be registered throughout the entire study.
