- •Major visceral surgery must have been performed on the patient during the hospital stay concerned.
- •This includes:
- •o Esophagectomy
- •o gastrectomy
- •o Pancreatic resection
- •o Major liver resection
- •o Colon resection
- •o Rectal resection
- •Age> 18 years
- •The operations must have been carried out between 1.1.2017 and 30.9.2020.
- •The operations must have been carried out electively.

- •Age under 18, or an operation that was not elective or does not count among the operations we include.
