Inclusion Criteria

• patients undergoing general anesthesia with endotracheal intubation

Exclusion Criteria

• patients with hypertrophic pyloric stenosis
• patients with delayed gastric emptying
• patients with esophageal stenosis
• patients with at risk of gastric aspiration
• patients with ileus, hepatomegaly, ascites (cannot visualize gastric antrum with ultrasound)
