入选标准

  • (a) Guideline-based qualitative interviews
  • - Patients: at least 18 years old; able to give consent; good German language skills; diagnosis of an incurable lung cancer (stage IV); willingness to participate in the study
  • - Patient relatives: at least 18 years old; able to give consent; good German language skills; willingness to participate in the study
  • (b) Focus group
  • - Medical and nursing staff: Nursing staff of the oncological wards, the palliative care units and the chemotherapy outpatient clinic as well as doctors of the Thoraxklinik Heidelberg gGmbH who work in oncology; at least 2 years of professional experience on the respective wards; good knowledge of German
  • (c) Testing (Think-aloud method)
  • - Patients: at least 18 years old; able to give consent; good German language skills; diagnosis of an incurable lung cancer (stage IV); willingness to participate in the study
  • - Patient representatives: at least 18 years old; able to give consent; good German language skills; willingness to participate in the study

排除标准

  • (a) Guideline-based qualitative interviews
  • - patients: Insufficient knowledge of German; is in a state of health that does not allow conversations due to a vital threat; has limitations in cognitive function, is a minor, unable to give consent
  • - relatives of the patients: German language skills insufficient, underage, unable to give consent
  • (b) Focus group
  • - Medical and nursing staff: less than 2 years of professional experience on the oncology wards, the palliative ward or the chemotherapy outpatient clinic; nursing staff from other wards than those mentioned above; interns, visiting and visiting physicians
  • (c) Testing (Think-aloud method)
  • - patients: Insufficient knowledge of German; is in a state of health that does not allow conversations due to a vital threat; has limitations in cognitive function, is a minor, unable to give consent
  • - patient representatives: German language skills insufficient, underage, unable to give consent
