Diagnosis of mild to moderate alcohol use disorder according to DSM V, i.e., 2-5 criteria met.
- Sufficient ability to communicate with investigators, to answer questions in oral and written form
- Ability to give fully informed consent (Fully Informed
Consent)
- Normal or correctable (with contact lenses) visual impairment.
- severe withdrawal symptoms (CIWA-R > 4).
- Alcohol intoxication (breath alcohol concentration > 0.3 ‰)
- History of withdrawal complications or severe withdrawal symptomatology.
- Axis I disorder according to DSM V (except alcohol dependence and specific
Phobia within the past 12 months).
- Current substance abuse (THC, amphetamine, opiates, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, and cocaine)
- Wearing glasses (without the ability to wear contact lenses)
- Traumatic brain injury or injury/surgery to the head - Parkinson's disease or epilepsy as a pre-existing condition
