- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method As a primary research question, the diagnosis by means of a consultative video consultation with corresponding diagnostic confidence are studied.
Regarding the diagnostic confidence, at first the primary caregiver makes a tentative diagnosis during his consultation hour with the patient. This consultation hour is the current standard of care. The tentative diagnosis is verified by the rheumatologist during the consultative video consultation and adjusted if necessary. Subsequently, every patient is seen at the rheumatological practice, according to the current standard of care, and receives the final diagnosis from the rheumatologist. The questionnaire that the rheumatologist receives includes questions regarding the tentative diagnosis made during the video consultation and the final diagnosis after the examination in the practice as well as the necessity of the personal contact.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The secondary research question studies the satisfaction with the video consultation as assessed by the patient, primary caregiver and rheumatologist.
At this point in time there are no validated questionnaires in Germany regarding video consultations”. Based on a systematic literature overview, questionnaires for the assessment of the video consultation and its acceptance were designed. In the selected literature aspects were determined that are of special importance for the patients and are therefore often part of questionnaires regarding satisfaction and expectancies of patients. The final questionnaire for the patients includes sociodemographic details as well as four thematic blocks regarding the assessment and satisfaction with the video consultation.
