Inclusion Criteria

  • •1. Patients scheduled to undergo oral surgery under general anesthesia at Surgical Center or Center for Oral Surgery of Hokkaido University Hospital
  • •2. Age 20+
  • •3. ASA physical status class 1 or 2
  • •4. Written informed consent

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1. Lack of judgment, such as intellectual disability
  • •2. Allergy to the aroma essential oil
  • •3. Olfactory disorder
  • •4. Hemorrhagic diathesis
  • •5. ICU management after general anesthesia
  • •6. Scheduled to administer intraoperative antiemetic prophylaxis
  • •7. Judged by the primary sponser to be inappropriate as research subjects
