Comparison of analgesic efficacy between ultrasound-guided iliohypogastric/ilioinguinal nerve block and wound infiltration in patients undergoing gynecologic surgery: a randomized controlled trial.
- Conditions
- All patients aged between 20 and 80 years were scheduled for elective gynecologic surgeries under general anesthesia with endotracheal intubationiliohypogastric/ilioinguinal nerve block, postoperative pain, gynecologic surgery, local anesthetic

- Brief Summary
The pain scores were significantly lower in the iliohypogastric/ ilioinguinal group (mean 0.4) than the local anesthetic wound infiltration group (mean 2.6) at all time point. postoperatively. Total morphine consumption in the iliohypogastric/ ilioinguinal group(mean 9.2 mg)was lower than the local anesthetic wound infiltration group (mean 18.4 mg)at all estimated time intervals throughout the study
