Women,
Aged between 18 and 60,
German-speaking
Exclusion Criteria
Current or chronic mental or physical disease assessed on self-report, current medication, current psychological or psychiatric treatment, smoking more than five cigarettes a day, previous experiences with the stress test.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Cortisol was measured 9 times using Salivette collection devices before and after the stress test.<br>Electrocardiography to assess heart rate and heart rate variability was recorded continuously before, during and after the stress test.<br>Subjective anxiety was measured by self-report questionnaire before and after the stress test.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Perceived stress and the availability of social resources were measured by self-report questionnaires at baseline, post-intervention and follow-up four weeks later.<br>Post-intervention, perceived group climate and therapeutic alliance were measured using self-report questionnaires administered to the intervention condition.
